Ottomani Tuscany White IGT Amphora
The Ottomani Toscana Bianco Anfora IGT is a unique and distinctive white wine, made from a blend of Canaiolo Bianco (40%), Colorino (30%), Ciliegiolo (15%), and Malvasia Nera (15%). These are old Tuscan grape varieties rarely used together in a single wine.
The wine originates from the hills between Impruneta and Strada in Chianti, where the grapes grow on calcareous soils with clay and marl. What truly makes this wine special is its vinification: fermentation and aging take place entirely in terracotta amphorae, made from the same clay as the soil.
Thanks to spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and minimal intervention, a wine is created that is pure, vibrant, and completely terroir-driven. The result is a complex and expressive wine with fresh acidity, subtle structure, and a unique combination of fruit, spice, and minerality.
