Ottomani Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG
The Ottomani Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG is a powerful and refined expression of 100% Sangiovese, originating from Greve in Chianti, one of the most prestigious sub-regions of Chianti Classico. The grapes come from 40-year-old vines grown on calcareous soils with clay and galestro, which provides concentration, structure, and a clear terroir expression.
Due to the low yield of less than 1.5 kilos per plant, the grapes achieve optimal ripeness and phenolic concentration. In the cellar, Ottomani works with spontaneous fermentation in concrete and minimal intervention, followed by a long aging of 24 months in Tuscan oak barrels.
The result is a deep and complex Chianti Classico Riserva with ripe red fruit, spicy notes, and an elegant structure, supported by fresh acidity and a long, layered finish.
